The Russian Connection website is an independent and comprehensive guide to cultural events and occasions with a Russian flavour. We feature events across a number of topics, including Art Exhibitions, Ballet, Classical Music, Concerts, Festivals, Kids events, Movies, Musical, Lectures, Opera, and Theatre. We also aim to tell you about selected social events within the Russian speaking community.

Founder and Director: Vera Krasnova
Vera Krasnova is a mortgage broker and lives in Sydney. See  her LinkedIn profile.



Administration (Brisbane): Katia Grig
Katia completed her first degree through the Moscow State University of Service and Tourism in 2004. She had worked for the Russian Foundation for Legal Reform and American Express. In 2008 she completed a certificate in the Fine Arts Management through the Moscow State University and is currently undertaking a diploma in accounting at TAFE. She lives in Brisbane. -

Marketing: Alena Soboleva
Alena had worked in Moscow for several years coordinating various projects in industries as diverse as Legal Services, Oil & Gas and Tourism before coming to Australia in 2006. She was involved in setting up the first successful Lifestyle Management company in Moscow, servicing a growing membership of wealthy clients seeking all manner of lifestyle requests. Alena holds Master Degrees in International Business & Marketing.

PR and Media Relations: Evgenia Van Berkel
Originally from Eastern Siberia, Evgenia moved to Australia in 2006. She worked as a freelance translator and interpreter in Germany. Evgenia has a diploma in Asian Studies (Saint Petersburg State University) and a Bachelor of Arts/Spanish (University of Hamburg/Germany). At present, she is completing a Communication and Media Diploma at TAFE.
